Though I’ve never been formally taught to cook anything, I believe I am a fairly decent home chef. However, I can’t claim to have a natural talent, because almost everything I know was taught to me in some way or another by my mother, and just for good measure I’ll admit that some of it comes from my father as well. I didn’t grow up wealthy, in fact by many standards we were considered quite poor, and in spite of that I have always had some of the most delicious foods to eat in the comfort of my home. After I moved away, I missed that luxury quite a bit, and in the years since I have been slowly working my way up to being able to provide the same to my family. It helps that I always have Mom’s advice only a phone call away.
I’m working on getting some of mom’s best recipes on this site in the coming days and weeks. Believe me, if you attempt any of them, you will not be disappointed!
